W. Lawrence Ream, Chairman
Larry dedicated his 33-year career with New York Life Insurance Company in the Group Insurance/Employee Benefits field. After serving as Group Manager in Cleveland and Detroit, he spent the last 16 years of his career at the home office in New York City, where he became Vice President in charge of the Group Marketing Organization and a major Group Insurance profit center. After retiring to Sarasota, he became heavily involved in governance at The Meadows Country Club, where he served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Board of Governors and as a member of the Finance Committee for eight years. After graduating from Penn State, Larry served in the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps as a Special Agent. He and his wife, Charlaine, have three daughters and seven grandchildren. |

Carla Plush Smith, Vice Chair
Carla Smith is a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with State Farm Insurance and has spent 24 years in Public Accounting in Sarasota specializing in individual, business, and trust and estate taxation. A Sarasota native, she is a former member of the Board of Family Counseling Center; Girls, Inc.; and the American Cancer Society. She is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota. Carla and her husband, Peter, are members of the Sarasota Yacht Club and enjoy boating. |

Jody Hudgins, Treasurer
Jody Hudgins is Executive Vice President of First National Bank of PA in Sarasota and their senior bank executive in Florida. His honors include Georgia’s “Banker of the Year”; being named an Alabama “Rising Star”; and being a delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business in 1986. Past Chairman of Sarasota County Planning Commission and Sarasota Housing Authority, he is on the Board of Community Housing Trust of Sarasota. He is a Trustee of Carson Newman College and is on the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. He and his wife Lisa have two daughters. |

Lee Byron, Secretary
Lee Byron is a long-time resident of Sarasota, a successful real estate agent with Michael Saunders, a former elected school board member, and very involved in the community. She presently serves as chair of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Suncoast Foundation board, the Teen Court Board, the Human Services Advisory Committee (to the County Commission), and on the Government Affairs Committee for the Sarasota Association of Realtors. Lee is a graduate of Smith College with a Masters in Government from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and is presently working on a second Masters in Pastoral Ministry from the Rice School of the Diocese of Venice. She and her late husband, Tom, have three children and two grandchildren. |

Roy E. Dean, Immediate Past Chairman
Roy Dean has practiced law since 1960 in Sarasota County, serving as Sarasota County Judge from 1968 to 1970 and Circuit Judge of the 12th Judicial Circuit from 1970 through 1977. Roy then joined the law firm of Holland & Knight, from which he retired as a Class-A partner in 1994. He has since continued his legal practice in Sarasota and is Of Counsel with the law firm of Judd, Ulrich, Scarlett, Summonte & Dean, P.A. Roy and his wife, Jan, a former City Council member, have four grown children. |

Norma H. Compton, (Resident)
Norma Compton retired as a dean at Purdue University in 1990. Listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education and World Who’s Who of Women, Norma has co-authored college texts and written for professional journals. She spent ten years on the faculty of the Longboat Education Center, prior to coming to Plymouth Harbor. Norma served on the Board of Directors of Armour & Company in Phoenix; the National Advertising Review Board in N.Y.C.; and Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. She was also a consultant to Esther Peterson, Special Assistant to the President for Consumer Affairs at the White House. Memberships: Phi Beta Kappa, the National League of American Pen Women, P.E.O., American Psychological Association, the Bird Key Yacht Club and the Tiger Bay Club. |

John (Jack) C. Denison (Resident)
John Denison is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan but spent most of his formative life in Evanston, Illinois. A graduate of Princeton University, Jack served in the U.S. Army Field Artillery, in the European Theater of England, Germany and France. Discharged in Paris and joined by his wife, he served for a short time with the U.S. State Department. During his entire business career he was employed by the American Hospital Supply Corporation. Jack headed up various subsidiaries, and was president of their export division, traveling extensively in the Middle East and South America. His last assignment was to Tokyo, Japan to lead a newly formed joint venture with Toray, Inc., a Japanese conglomerate. Upon his retirement he and his wife had homes in Longboat Key and Cortez, Florida. From there the two of them did volunteer work for the International Executive Service Corps, serving in Jordan, Egypt, Costa Rica, Romania, and Poland. Jack has been a resident of Plymouth Harbor since 1996 and has served on various strategic planning committees, as a past chair of the Health Committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee. He is currently the Vice-President of the Residents Association. Jack and his late wife, Teasley, have three children and three grandchildren. |

F. Thomas Hopkins
Thomas Hopkins is a shareholder and former President of the Icard-Merrill law firm and has practiced with the firm since 1977. Tom practices all areas of real estate law and has been designated by the Florida Bar as a Board Certified Real Estate Attorney. He also has extensive experience counseling clients in all aspects of estate planning. His professional affiliations and positions have included serving as President of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Bar Association Legal Aid Society, Inc. Tom also has served as President and board member of the Sarasota County Civic League and President of the Ivy League Club. A graduate with an A.B. from Dartmouth College, Tom also earned an M.S. from the University of Southern California and his law degree from the University of Florida. Tom and his wife Wendy have three children and one grandchild. |

William R. Johnston
William Johnston is past president and COO of the New York Stock Exchange. William received his BS degree in Commerce from Washington & Lee University. He became a member of the NYSE in 1964 and a Director in 1992 and has served on numerous committees. He was Senior VP and Director of Mitchum Jones & Templeton. William also founded Agora Securities, and then merged it into LaBranche & Co. where he was Senior Managing Partner. He is currently a Director at Hollins University and Chairman of the Audit Committee and Co-chair of Development. William has served on numerous committees and advisory boards of universities; and taught at numerous colleges and universities across the country. He and his wife Elizabeth have two children and two grandchildren. |

Robert Thomas Mitchell
Robert Mitchell is a native of Sarasota and graduated from the University of Florida with a BS Degree in Building Construction. He is the owner of Rowe-Mitchell Construction Company. Robert has served on the boards of several local not-for-profit agencies, which includes a branch of the YMCA and the Gulf Coast Builders Exchange. He and his wife Brenda reside in Sarasota and have two children. |

Randall L. Natherson
Randall Natherson is a partner with Natherson & Company, P.A. and has over 17 years experience providing audit, tax and other services to various business and not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is registered and licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida. He received his Masters of Accounting in Taxation from the University of Florida in 1991. Randall and his wife Wendy, who is also a CPA and a graduate of Florida State University, both grew up in Sarasota. They have two children. |

John Reeder, MD
John Reeder, MD is Chief Administrative Officer of Gulf Coast Surgery Center. He moved to Sarasota in 1970 after graduating from Tulane Medical School and completing training in General Surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and Surgical Oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Reeder served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of the Medical Staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he was a member of the staff for thirty years. In 1999 he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida. Dr. Reeder and his wife Susie have seven children and nine grandchildren.

William C. Seiberling (Resident)
William Seiberling retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 36 years of service. During this time he became Personnel Manager of the Goodyear plant in Columbia, South America. Four years later he was transferred to the Goodyear plant in Turkey as Personnel Manager and two years after that was promoted to Plant Manager. He remained in that position for five years before being moved to Taiwan as President and Chairman of the Board of a new Goodyear operation there. After four years he returned to the States and became Plant Manager of the Windsor, VT plant. William graduated from Kenyon College, married his wife Jeanne, spent two years in the service during the Korean Conflict, helped raise their four children overseas and retired to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1985. He and his wife moved to Plymouth Harbor in December 2003 and have both been active residents in leadership roles since then.
He is currently the President of the Residents Association. |

John M. Strickland
John Strickland is a partner of the Livingston, Patterson, Strickland & Siegel, P.A. law firm. John has a BA degree from the University of North Carolina and his law degree from Stetson University. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1971 and joined the firm of Livingston, Patterson, Strickland & Siegel in 1979. He is a member of the Sarasota County and American Bar Associations, the Florida Bar, the American Inns of Court, and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. John’s practice areas include civil litigation and matrimonial law. He also serves on the boards of the Salvation Army and Planned Parenthood organizations. John and his wife Caroline have one daughter. |

William (Bill) Young
William Young is Wachovia's Market President for the North Gulf Coast region. He also is the Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Wachovia's Private Banking Group. Bill joined Wachovia in April of 2006. Prior Wachovia he served as Florida Private Banking Director for Fifth Third Bank and President and CEO for First National Bank of Florida–Sarasota. He also spent 21 years with Bank of America and predecessors in a wide variety of roles. Bill received a BA in Finance from Stetson University in 1982. Bill is the Chairman of the Health and Human Services Advisory Council and is a board member of the Community Housing Trust, the Beattie Foundation, the Sarasota County Foundation, the Pollack Foundation and the Selby Foundation. He also serves on the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Twelfth Judicial Court. His past community involvement has included Community Foundation of Sarasota, Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota, Florida West Coast Symphony and Junior Achievement. Bill lives in Sarasota with his wife Sandy and three children. |
